Second Draft

April: Be a month of ease. Of gentleness. Of less harsh realities & more soft, safe places to land. Of less struggle & more success.

Let us go easier on ourselves & on others, remembering that we are all only human & we are doing the best we can. 💕

I always believe that “tomorrow we try again” works well.

I always tell myself to let it all go: the mistakes, failures, frustration, tears, worries, doubts, heartaches, fears and try again tomorrow.

But I am not quite sure how to do it sometimes.

Set boundaries — with your heart, your time, your dating life.

I am sure that not everyone who knocks on the door of your life should be allowed in.

Elista, you really need to stop questioning your worth every time someone hurts you or does you wrong. Their bad behavior is THEIR character flaw, not yours.

I deserve to be someone’s first choice. I deserve to be cherished & not taken for granted. I deserve to be chosen & not settled for.

There are people who will try to make you feel like you are “too much” for having standards. For having healthy boundaries.

For refusing to settle for less than you deserve. For asking for what you are worth. For being confident in who you are.

These people are not your people.

Last I think from today,

A child throws tantrum & knocks over the stack of blocks they’ve been carefully building.

An adult talks things out, takes accountability, & builds something even stronger.

Step up your game.

And if you don’t know how to step up your game…go to therapy & learn how.

Love,
Elista.
